There’s always a danger in a single story as it presents the reality of the experience from only one perspective. In defining terms then, concepts are most comprehensively communicated through the lens of different perspectives. Thus, we sought to portray the multifaceted dimensions of human rights in translation through linking the diverse approaches by which we grappled with the issues at hand. Throughout the course of our class, we discovered that the key terms that came up in discussing human rights in translation were deeply interconnected, often operating in tension to one another. As we delved deeper into the arguments surrounding the dynamic pull between different words, we discovered more specific terms that explored the larger themes with specific contextual examples.There are three tiers of key terms with increasing specificity the farther you explore the top tier terms are listed below.
